We REALLY Need This!!

Matt and I have been SO busy lately.  I have been busy working on building a strong team with my coaching business, which has meant some late night training, check ins, and planning.

And he is so incredibly supportive of me.  He helps me around the house, does the dishes, helps fold clothes, bathes the boys and many other things.  Does he do these things all the time? No.  I do them as well, but he totally steps up and takes over when I need him to.


And here’s the kicker.  He usually does it without complaining!!!! (Insert gasp here wives…)  I know, right?? He’s a keeper, and I don’t tell him that enough.


But this weekend, I get to tell him with a TRIP!  Just for the two of us.  There will be no clothes to fold, dishes to wash, grass to mow.  Just US!  On a cruise that is entirely PAID for because of what I do as a coach.


And I could not be prouder of the fact that I worked hard and EARNED this for the both of us.


And I know that time for just us is so important. Our marriage needs it.  Our boys need for us to be happy and fulfilled in our marriage.  God’s word speaks about it….

Have I already said that we haven’t been on a real vacation together since before we got pregnant with Henry???? Yes, I know.  That’s a long time.

But life happened somewhere in between.  Finances got tight, and honestly, we had to scrimp and save for vacations.  And we haven’t wanted to go anywhere without the boys because they are so few and far between!


But here we go!  And as much as I will miss the boys, I am so thankful for this time alone with my Matt.

And when we get back, it will all start back up again.  Baseball, church activities, mowing the lawn, etc.  And I wouldn’t trade it all for anything.  But I am looking forward to this little respite to reconnect with my man.
