Shake It Off – 2017 Leadership Retreat

This was my second leadership retreat I’ve hosted for Team Take Heart. The purpose of these retreats is for the TOP coaches on our team to come together for training, for fellowship, for planning and for GOALS!

Sometimes, things don’t go EXACTLY as planned….and sometimes, tropical storms have other agendas! But we were determined to make this retreat happen! So when we heard that Tropical Storm Nate was headed to Destin, FL, we hustled  and made the MOST of our brief time together!

Shake It Off

 

The focus of our weekend was “Shake It Off”. Centered around Isaiah 52:2 .
Being a coach is NOT for perfect people, and life happens to all of us. And each one of us on this team has endured different challenges this last year! Our goal was to shake off the dust and ARISE refreshed and renewed and READY to keep going in this purpose that God has called us to.

So we spent the weekend focusing on LETTING GO of fears, circumstances and setbacks that have been holding us back and keeping us from reaching our FULL potential as followers of Christ and in this coaching opportunity!  We wrote down our fears, concerns, hardships on a rock and TOSSED that sucker into the ocean to represent releasing it into the hands of God!

It was an amazing exercise and one that helped ME just as much as anyone!

And then we got to WORK!  My amazing and wonderful coach, Melanie, came down for the weekend to lead some trainings for us and help us set our GOALS to finish out 2017 strong and make and even BIGGER impact on the lives of women around us.

Our goal as coaches is about more than sweaty selfies and achieving the perfect body!  For me personally, my MISSION is to inspire other women to become what God has created them to be!  Healthy, strong, active servants of Christ!  We wear so many hats as women.  Wife, mom, employee, servant, business owner, etc. And none of it can be accomplished if we do not care for ourselves!  My second mission is to teach women that they CAN!  They can take care of themselves. They can build a business from home with messy kids and dirty laundry and snotty noses. They can build a business part time on their lunch break and after the kids go to bed. They can build a business with INTEGRITY and with PURPOSE.  And CENTERED on impacting the world through our faith and our fitness!

It’s exciting to see our team FLOURISH and grow!  It’s a God thing. I’m incapable of doing any of this on my own, and I’m forever grateful for what God is doing here!
