What are some things you’d like to SHAKE OFF and leave behind and some NEW GOALS you have for your September?

I may love this season a little much…

My heart for you.

As much as I love this season, I equally get saddened by the amount of women flood my inbox with REASONS for getting healthier, but who also allow this season to be an EXCUSE for not doing so.

Who ever said that BUSY automatically CANCELS out healthy??? I’ve never seen that written in stone anywhere. Have you??

Nope…thought so!

So why is it that so many of use struggle with this season and sticking with our goals??? Well… I’m glad you asked, because I have some thoughts!

  1. We’ve created UNREALISTIC exceptions for ourselves. I think that is such a girl thing… everything has to be perfect. But simple fact is that LIFE is imperfect, therefore our fitness is going to be as well. EMBRACE IT! And KEEP GOING!
  2. We SAY we want results, but the WHY really isn’t there. Until you define WHY you’re willing to give up the Oreos at 10:00 pm when they’re calling your name, you’re ALWAYS going cave!
  3. Our HABITS define our success. And quite frankly, I was a SLAVE to my bad habits. + Late night eating while I binge watched old episodes of Friends (that’s two bad habits…). + Getting a coffee every time I drove by Starbucks. + “Treating” myself to my fave foods anytime I had wins in my health. + I learned that SLOWLY replacing old habits with new better ones paid off long term! Which leads me to my last thought.
  4. STICK-WITH-IT-NESS – It’s a trait so many women of our generation are MISSING. I tried every diet you can imagine for 20-30 days and then I was OUT! When I learned to go 30 days and then commit to another 30 and then another, I realized “Hey! This works when I work it!”

Does That Resonate In Any Way?

I think I already know the answer! And I said it all in LOVE, because I had to root out the TRUTH for myself. And I simply wanted to encourage you to NOT give up, because it’s September, October, November or December!

  • EMBRACE the season!
  • COMMIT to changing ONE habit this week.
  • POST one scripture verse that keeps you focused on your WORTH.
  • CONNECT with a plan and a community that is LONG TERM and not a quick fix!
