Saying “Yes” and Where It Got Me…

As I think about the upcoming week, I am humbled and so grateful for what has happened in this past year of my life.  I never could have imagined that needing to lose weight and getting on the internet to find a program that would help me could have impacted me so greatly.  Over the past year I have:

• Lost those pesky pounds that piled on when I turned 33…
• Become a fitness coach (who knew!)
• Helped over 100 other people begin their fitness journey and reach their goals.
• Eased my family’s financial burden significantly through my coaching income. 
• Gained confidence in myself as a wife, mom, and leader.

Seriously,  I just thought I was buying a workout program…


We are leaving for vacation in a couple of days, and I am so grateful that I can plan this trip without worrying about the money for it.  That I can enjoy time with my family and still fulfill my duties as a coach from my beach chair. That I can wear a bathing suit and shorts with confidence.


All because I said “Yes” to this little thing called coaching last July.  I have shared this before, but I will share it again.  When my coach Melanie asked me if I would consider coaching, my initial reaction was definitely NO!  I didn’t want to.  I didn’t have the confidence in myself.  I hadn’t reach my own personal fitness goals.  How could I help others?


But I felt like that wasn’t it.  I felt God calling me just to consider this opportunity.  And then, even though I still wasn’t comfortable saying yes, I felt Him leading me to do just that.   It was most certainly one of those situations where I was called to something I was trying to run away from.

 And now, almost one year into my coaching venture, I can see why.  Helping others through fitness challenge groups has changed not only them but me as well!  I have been able to support and encourage.  To become my challengers’ accountability partner.  To lead them in prayer and provide spiritual support.  And a handful of these challengers have become coaches themselves.  Some for the discount on their Shakeology and some to grow their own business by helping others.

I have to admit that right now, leading other coaches is a challenge unlike anything I have faced before.  Those feelings of inadequacy and uncertainty creep back in.  How can I lead them effectively? How do I support them and encourage them when I am still learning myself? But again, I feel God whispering to me to keep going.  Keep pushing and offering this amazing opportunity to other people.  





Just like losing weight and building muscle, this coaching business requires investment and momentum.  Some of us have one hour a day to commit to it.  Some of us have four hours and some eight! No matter how much time you have to invest, this business can work for you! If you are:

• inspired to help others.
• passionate about health and fitness
• longing to get into shape yourself
• want to provide an income for your family or be able to spend more time with them
• want to work from home

This is an incredible opportunity for you.  It takes motivation, compassion, drive and sometimes just good ole hard work, but it is worth it. The rewards are incredible!

2. Creating awesome new friendships with other coaches.
3. Encouraging others with your own story.
4.  Staying on track in your own health and fitness.
5.  Seeing the fruits of your labor every Thursday when your Beachbody check is deposited.
