My Beloved

So this is not going to be your conventional “Post Summit High” blog post!
Cause, honestly? I’m all about being completely transparent over here. I think there is too much “perfection” on social media land, and I want to share the REALITY that is my life!

First let me say that our annual coach Summit was truly AMAZING! I had a wonderful time, and it was INCREDIBLE to connect with my team of coaches whom I don’t see often other than weekly via online conferencing (which I am so grateful for!)
We celebrated huge successes for our team, received training from some of the TOP motivational speakers in the world, and had more intimate trainings from top coaches.

It was a whirlwind! And I am so HONORED to be able to say that I am a Beachbody coach. {It’s funny typing that, because for the longest time, I was very shy about saying that. Unsure and insecure about what others would think of me.}
But now, I’m proud. Proud of our company. Proud of the products. Proud of the mission!

It’s important to stress that coaching is deeper than Beachbody. They simply provide the platform to do something that I truly feel CALLED to do. And that is to love PEOPLE!
It’s crazy to think that this year alone, I have been able to help 80+ NEW women start their journey to a fitter and healthier version of themselves. Not just to look a certain way, but for their families. For their well being. Mom’s who want the energy to keep up with their littles. College girls who are sick of feeling insecure and overweight. Young women who want to be all that God called them to be! Middle age women who thought they could NEVER do anything but walk are CRUSHING goals they set for themselves and surpassing them!
And it’s not just a fitness journey, but a FAITH journey as well. And many of these women are taking the opportunity to start a faith + fitness business of their own while working on their health. Coaching is helping them pay off loans, quit their jobs to be home with families and building financial freedom!
Needless to say, I am HUMBLED and PRIVILEGED to be a small part of these women’s stories.

BUT!!!!! I have to share the struggles as well. While at Summit, surrounded by thousands of other coaches, other stories, other women, I came home and the high quickly plummeted.
I immediately began to analyze and COMPARE my story, my body, my business to these other women. Satan knew EXACTLY where to hit me. I started to doubt. Question whether I was fit enough, strong enough, smart enough, personal enough to do this job God gave me.
I was recognized a lot this weekend for being a LEADER, but I came home believing that everyone else could lead better than I could. And it ate me alive for about 24 hours. But thankfully, God has surrounded me with God-fearing women and a husband who has an advanced degree in Counseling {PRAISE THE LORD!}, and I have been able to clear my head through scripture and prayer!
You see, beautiful ladies? Satan knows exactly how to stop us. How to keep us from serving. How to stop us DEAD in our tracks so that we are INCAPABLE of loving others and living our mission. Which is to simply LOVE! To ENCOURAGE. To BAND TOGETHER as sisters in Christ and NOT compare. I am weak when it comes to this, and always have been. But I KNOW without a doubt that this where I’m supposed to be!
And in the words of Lisa Bevere, author of Without Rival:
Tying my identity to who I am as a coach and what I accomplish will always leave me wanting and insecure. A rank, a number, the number of likes and comments I get on a post will NOT define who I am. Because I already know who I am. I am a DAUGHTER OF THE ONE TRUE KING!
I am REDEEMED and SET FREE from earthly DEFINITIONS of success. And as I closed my eyes today, free of social media influences and worldly definitions of achievement, God whispered over me that I am His BELOVED. It was very clear.
And tonight I am celebrating THAT! The FREEDOM that comes from knowing this truth empowers me to be even MORE capable of loving and serving other women. And whispering that truth over the lives of women who struggle as I do.
And while it’s not always easy to share insecurities and weakness, I do so in the hopes that other women are encouraged and freed from comparison too!
Stand tall. Stand proud. Stand CONFIDENT in the knowledge that if you are a follower of Christ, you are His Beloved too. No worldly definition can define you as otherwise. You simply must BELIEVE!
So, since we find ourselves fashioned into all these excellently formed and marvelously functioning parts in Christ’s body, let’s just go ahead and be what we were made to be, without enviously or pridefully comparing ourselves with each other, or trying to be something we aren’t.
