Low Carb BBQ Chicken Pizza
Ingredients
Base of pizza
- Low Carb BBQ Sauce (Stubb’s is a good brand)
- Low Carb Pizza Crust (RealGood frozen crust is my go to)
Toppings
- 12oz pre-cooked or rotisserie chicken breast
- ½ cup Low Carb BBQ sauce, divided
- ½ small red onion (40g), sliced thin
- ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper (optional)
- 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro (optional)
Directions
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Using your pre-cooked pizza crust and pre-made BBQ sauce, spread 2-3 tablespoons of sauce across the pizza crust. Stir remaining sauce and chicken together.
Spread chicken over the sauce. Top with sliced onion and red pepper, if using.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until chicken is warm and onions have softened. Sprinkle with cilantro, and serve.
You can add cheese to this pizza if you tolerate it well. About ¾ cup of mozzarella should do the trick. Add it just after the chicken and before the onions.
