How We Fight the Good Fight
Last night a group of 30 BRAVE women gathered to hear some of my fit friends and myself share our FIGHT stories for our bodies.
I say “BRAVE”, because I know it’s not easy to give up your Thursday night to hear women share about how they are OVERCOMING their fight for their bodies when your fight may feel weak and unproductive.
I remember my first BRAVE moments as God was calling me out of a place of complacency into His glorious FIGHT!
I am ashamed to say that I haven’t always put my money where my mouth is.
For YEARS I circled the mountain of self-defeat in my body.
Complaining I didn’t like how I looked.
Complaining about how I felt tired.
Complaining about my hormones and my cravings.
Lots of complaining and little action…
I listened to other women tell their stories too…. until I decided to start writing my OWN FIGHT story!
replacing my complaining with ACTION
30 minute workouts in my living room
tracking my food.
replacing donuts and chicken biscuits for a superfood shake
surrounding myself with like minded women fighting with me
Today
My struggles are still there some days more than others.
I’m still a volume eater
I could still DESTROY a birthday cake while no one is looking
I still fight fraudy feelings & fail to claim God’s word in VICTORY…
But those days are fewer and farther between, because I daily turn NORTH!
And every day I’m inviting other women to complain less and take ACTION more!
About last night…
Last night, women got on a call on a Thursday night to hear our stories of FIGHT FOR OUR BODIES, and it was amazing. I really felt led to share the entire recording with you here, in the hopes that it encourages you.
