Hammer and Chisel – 60 Day Results Are In!!!
I started this program officially January 4th. An 8 week program with TONS of different workouts. I did NOT get bored with this one, I promise!!!! Because I really do tend to, and an 8 week program is kind of long for me. I like to switch it up and keep it interesting. Also, my body needs a good challenge and switch up every three or four weeks.

So, the layout/design of this program was PERFECT for me!
I don’t do this to maintain a certain number on the scale. I do this to maintain a healthy weight.
That being said, there is a certain weight range that is best for me. Where I feel comfortable in my clothes. Where I feel confident. Where I feel energized and not sluggish. And let me just be honest, when I started in January, I was NOT in that weight range.
I’m almost a little embarassed at how close I had gotten to my original starting weight from back in the SPring of 2014.
Of course, not my body is composed of more muscle and less fat, but I was still outside of my healthy weight range. And looking back now, I made excuses.
I have to train my brain to not justify over indulgence. I was always that girl who felt that if I was Hungry, I need “real food” to fill me up and satisfy me. And by “real”, I meant fatty, sugary, carb-loaded.

But I know that is not true. God created tons of filling and satisfying foods to keep me full, healthy and strong. All those other things are just extras.
And I didn’t starve myself over the past eight weeks. Heck, I even had plenty of cheat meals! Fried chicken, bacon, Cadbury eggs, a glass of wine. I did NOT deprive myself!
But I practiced self-control and consistency. Two things I was NOT good at two years ago. Things I still struggle with and have to pray about today. They are not part of my “bent” or my nature.
I am actually a very self-indulgent person by nature. I can justify why I need or deserve things very easily. But God is shaping me and teaching me. To crave Him. To desire to be healthy 365 days of the year and not just for a month or two at a time. To get OFF the crazy diet yo yo. To STOP circling that mountain of mine.
And with that! Here are my results from this eight week challenge that I did with three other beautiful challengers!!! It was fun. It was a challenge and there were days that I didn’t do so well. But I am proud over all of how I finished!
And now I’m moving on to a new program!!!! This week I have mixed it up a little and added in some of my favorites from Body Beast and 21 Day Fix Extreme.
But when Matt and I return from our cruise, I am hitting 22 Minute Hard Corps hard with my challenge groups!!! I’ve sampled some of the workouts and they are fun and full of motivation, but I’m most excited about the 22 Minutes!!! That’s some extra sleeping time for Momma!!!
