I’ve been sharing about living with
LESS lately. And while it’s only been a week of praying this over my life and seeking God’s direction in
Living Well, but spending LESS in terms of money and tv time and the extras that tend to distract me from Him, He is speaking to me in big ways!
I didn’t realize how much the seemingly little things like watching a tv show before I go to bed, or spending an extra 30 minutes on my phone a day or just walking INTO the mall on my lunch break could distract me from Living Well.
I don’t NEED to watch a tv show to unwind before I fall asleep. Actually I have found that I sleep better when I omit this routine.
I don’t NEED to scroll through Facebook mindlessly just to pass the time. I can spend that time in prayer or throwing the football with Henry or reading a book to Milo.
I don’t NEED to go to the mall to get out of the office on my lunch break. I can take a walk outside or read a book or spend some time with a friend.
It’s funny the things I have convinced myself that I require in order to be happy in life. When in reality, I can live well and be content with the simple things. I’m feeling more connected to God just by changing some small habits. And I’m spending less money as well! Cha-Ching!

WHAT’S NEXT??
I don’t know about you, but once I give myself a little wiggle room in my nutrition and workouts, I let myself have a LOT! And while my nutrition has been better this last week than it has the whole month, I recognize when it’s time to make some changes.
Since I finished Core de Force, I’ve kind of been hopping around. Doing my Chalean Extreme weight lifting three days a week and mixing in some cardio from different programs. Which is totally fine, but I know myself, and I operate best on a definitive plan. And I love that Beachbody’s tag line is “Decide. Commit. Succeed.” Because, truthfully, that is what is required to see lasting positive change in any area of our lives. And right now, this is the area I am choosing to focus on. My health!
So I have decided to commit to a workout program in it’s entirety beginning Monday, February 6th. I am also 99.9% sure I am going to give Whole 30 a go as well. I have a couple of friends who are willing to commit to it with me, so that should help me with accountability! I’m scrolling through my Beachbody on Demand library (which I totally just set up on my Roku this weekend!!!!) and searching and praying over which workout program to follow, so stay tuned there….
MEAL PLAN FOR THIS WEEK
But for this week – January 30 – February 6, I’m going to stick to my current workout schedule and begin phasing in some Whole 30ish like eating.
I’m slightly nervous and slightly excited about doing Whole 30. Any tips and takeaways would be very welcome!

Amazon for $79 so I jumped on it.
This thing is so cool! A roast chicken that would take abhor to cook in the oven can be cooked in 25 minutes! The pressurized cooking method is safe, fast and so convenient! This is gonna be so much fun to play with! I’ll share more when I get to try it out.
So! that’s what’s going on in my life this week! I’m excited to try some new things and let go of some old habits.
I 100% believe life is a constant journey through which we are learning, being challenged, and is an opportunity to grow and learn and shine bright for Christ. God just so happened to plop my health and coaching into my lap to help me do those things, and it’s an exciting journey for sure!
