Dairy Free this Week!
Ever since doing the Ultimate Reset, I am so much more aware of what certain foods do to my body. And dairy is without a doubt one of those foods that my body does NOT agree with! It makes me bloated and my stomach cramps very painfully! So, I’m 100% committed to cutting it out of my diet this week. Along with sugar. NO sugar this week!
I have contemplated doing the Reset again soon, but honestly, I want to wait. I cannot rely on something like that frequently. It’s a wonderful program, but it requires time and commitment. I’m going to have to commit to making these behaviors part of my everyday life. Cutting out dairy is hard for me, because I love cheese! I love cottage cheese! But I know I can do it. I have to do it. It helps me have more energy, and it keeps my sinuses from getting all cruddy and stopped up.
I already drink Vegan Chocolate Shakeology because of this reason. I remember when I first started drinking Shakeology. I loved the taste! I loved the energy I had from it and the fact that it was such a sweet treat for me! Within a couple of weeks, I had fewer sweet cravings.
But it bothered my stomach. I noticed my coach drank Vegan, so I reached out to her and she suggested I switch. It made ALL the difference! That was when I began to notice my sensitivity to dairy.
This process of becoming healthier is totally from the inside out. I can eat clean and lose weight and workout, but if I”m not listening to what my body is telling me, then it’s not doing a lot of good.
So, this week that is my goal. No dairy…no sugar (because I hate the way it feels) and to follow my meal plan! I have it taped to my kitchen cabinet, and I’m excited about the foods I’m eating. One thing I love about this process of growing physically and as a coach, is that I am always learning. Always pushing myself to try new things. Always able to help someone else because of what I learn!
I am in the Push Phase of Chalean Extreme, and I SO enjoy this phase. It’s heavy weights, fewer reps, and it pushes me to work harder! This morning I did Push Circuit 1 and joined some friends for 22 Minute Hard Corps Cardio 1! And I swear, now I need a nap!
So here’s to a great week! I’m praying for self-control. For perseverance and to lead by example!
If you need some help with your nutrition and staying on track, I would love to help you! I have a brand new challenge group beginning January 23rd. We are focusing on inviting God into this fitness journey. Food and a healthy weight are important, but it’s not a size game. It’s about learning to love our bodies, because we are created by God. And because of that Love, we learn to take care of them.

So many women are hard on themselves and think they must be a certain weight before they can love themselves. But it’s usually the opposite. Stop fighting self-hate. Stop seeking something that is unachievable. Seek God, invite Him into your fitness journey and let’s get healthy together!
