Clean Snack Ideas for Sports Moms

What are some healthy game day snacks, game day snacks for kids, clean eating snacks, healthy baseball mom

 

Hey all my baseball, hockey, soccer, (insert any other sports here ) mamas!  I LOVE being a baseball mom!  And I’m always excited when it rolls around!  But it can wreak havoc on our fitness plans to be stuck at a ballfield all day or night with no good foods to eat!

And I like to keep whole food snacks for my boys too, even though they are certainly allowed the nachos or hotdogs from time to time! So, I want to put together some of my FAVORITE go-to snacks to pack up in that cooler or bag to take to the game!  These are easy and do NOT take a lot of prep…so don’t run away on me!  (MWUAH!)

Some of my go to quick pack snacks are:
+ boiled eggs
+ nuts (portion them out for portion control)
+ Fruit (washed and dried) storage containers or baggies
+ Shakeology bars or balls (recipes below!)
+ Cheese and veggie sticks (this is where prep comes in handy!)
+ almond/peanut butter cups or packets (Justin’s brand is my favorite for packing)
+ Deli meat sandwiches on whole wheat bread are perfect for transport!
+ Beach Bars (coming soon!!! See below)
+ RX Bars

Some things to stay AWAY from:
– granola bars (full of sugar)
– Gatorade (Hydrate is a MUCH healthier alternative)
– Sweetened green teas (SO much sugar)
– 100 calorie packs of food (ZERO nutritional value and lots of preservatives)
– Baked chips (Same)

 

Shakeology No Bake Balls

Ingredients

  • ½ cup all-natural almond butter
  • ¼ cup raw honey
  • ½ cup finely chopped raw almonds
  • scoops Vanilla Shakeology
  • 2 Tbsp. mini semi-sweet or dark chocolate chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Combine almond butter, honey, almonds, Shakeology, and chocolate chips in a medium bowl; mix well.

  2. Roll into thirteen balls, about 1-inch in diameter each.

  3. Store in fridge.
