Christmas Gift Guide!!!

So, I’m about to talk about two things that I absolutely love… SHOPPING & FITNESS!!!  


You know I love to workout and get results, but I also love to shop for all things fitness.  It’s something God and I have to talk about a lot…


But really, you don’t need a whole lot of STUFF to get healthy and work out at home.  I wanted to share some of my favorite items and some new things I would like to have for myself.

Meal Prep Containers – This is something I do not have, but I have lots of challengers who meal plan and prep with these babies.  And they LOVE them!!! Here are some pictures from my challengers who plan out their meals for the entire work week and just pop these in the fridge or freezer to pull out as needed.  It’s really a genius idea, and I need to start doing it.  You can find them HERE. 

Portion Control Containers – As you probably know, these little babies completely changed the way I eat!!! I used to consider my “healthy eating” to be good for me, but I was eating way too much of even the good foods!  The meal planning guide and the portion containers are what I still use to create my meal plans each week.  They are simple; no calorie counting, and I really just love the color coding!!!
I don’t have to use the containers as much now, because I can recognize a proper portion size, but I go back to them from time to time when things get out of control…

Blender – a proper blender is no joke!  You know I love my Shakeology.  I drink it every morning.  I recently went a week without it, because I was out, and I felt horrible!!! 
I don’t like to spend a lot of money on things like blenders, but I know you can.  My go-to is my Ninja.  It is fast, blends well and they hold up well.  You can find this one HERE.

Nutri Ninja

Gym Mat – This is something that is cheap and totally worth having!!! I got mine at Walmart, and it was only $20.  People ask me all the time about it, and I absolutely love it!  It reduces the impact if I’m doing cardio.  It’s a good place to put my weights without worrying about them scratching my floors, and it’s awesome for doing sit ups and other moves on the floor!!  You can find this one HERE.

Stability Ball – This is another awesome and cheap item to have for workouts.  It can be used for weight lifting, sit ups, decline push ups…almost anything!! I actually use it instead of a weight bench, because it’s more mobile, and I am forced to use my CORE a lot!!! I love a stability ball!  I actually am going out to pick one up today for Matt, because he is starting Hammer and Chisel next week!!!  HERE is one I like.  
You definitely need purchase one based on your height.  Different height means different size.  

Medicine Ball – This is actually on my wish list for Christmas.  Don’t confuse it with a Stability ball. Two completely different things!!! This is a smaller ball, basketball size.  It is weighted.  They come in 5 lbs, 8 lb, 10 lbs and so on.  It is great for squats, building upper strength, doing sit ups.  Lots of versatility!! HERE is a one I found that’s reasonable.














So that is workout gear.  
You see, it really doesn’t take a lot of expensive gym equipment to build muscle and shape up!!! 


I have my free weights a couple of resistance bands at home that I use as well.
