Busy Women Stay Fit 30 Day Clean Eating Challenge Group

Summer is OVER!!! Where oh where did it go?  It took me a few minutes to wrap my brain around the fact that our local high school team had their first football game this past weekend.  For me, that is the OFFICIAL start of Fall, no matter what the weather is like. 

But with it, Fall brings a very busy schedule for most of us.  And busy schedules can derail any efforts at eating healthy.  One thing that I have learned though, is that in the midst of all of the craziness, I CAN control my fitness and nutrition.  I can control what I eat each day.  I can control if I pack my snacks ahead of time to keep me from going through the drive-thru.  I can control what time I go to bed and get up to get my exercises in.  In a world of unknowns, these are things I KNOW I am in control of.   Is it always easy? NO.  Do I do it perfectly always? NO.  Are there days when I would rather do anything than roll out of bed and exercise at 5:00 a.m.? YES!





But I feel so much better when I get my workouts in.  It gets my body and my brain going.  It releases feel good endorphines; I feel better about how my clothes fit; I have more energy throughout the day, and getting it in early means I can have more time with my family later in the day.  



What I eat is just as important to my health and emotional well being.  Actually, I think it is more important than exercising.  When I eat foods that fuel my body and keep it strong, I think more clearly, my health is better, and my hormones remain in balance.  Clean eating has changed so many things for me.  When I get busy, it is easy to come up with excuses like: I don’t have time to cook.  Let’s go through the drive-thru.   I forgot to pack my snacks, so I’ll just get some chips from the vending machine.  But these are really just that – excuses! It may be extra work and require some sacrifices, but I know that what I put in my body determines so many things, and it is worth it to stay on track!

That is why I am participating in the Busy Women’s Challenge Part 2. Some of you may already have a workout program you enjoy, whether it is in the gym, Crossfit, running, or a fitness program at home.  IF you don’t already, I would be happy to help you find one.  No matter what your workout style, this group will be a 30 day accountability program and guide to eating clean.  It begins with a 3 Day Refresh if you choose to do so for a fresh start!  September 1st will begin 30 days of learning how to plan out your meals, prep your daily snacks, how to control emotional eating, and make better choices!

The focus this month is on meals that are under 30 minutes to make, meals you can prep ahead of time and put in the crockpot, snacks that travel well, road tips, and ways to stay on track when you already have no time.

This type of accountability was really the key factor that changed my fitness journey.  Knowing that there are people going through the same temptations and struggles as myself really kept me from quitting.  Also, having other people to check in with and knowing that they were waiting to hear about my day was a huge motivator!
