A Few of My Favorite Things, Volume I
I get asked about a lot of things that I like or am using. Food, personal development, my hair. Just random things, but I love to share what I’m doing and what is benefitting me!
So I’m gonna begin this monthly serious entitled “A Few of My Favorite Things.” Just in the hopes that I can add value in a different way!
So, let’s get started!
This seasoning y’all. I seriously cannot get enough of it! I use it on meat, veggies, salads, and I have even seen some people sprinkle it over fruit! It has just the right amount of salt and heat…just like the bottle says. There is not a Trader Joe’s around us, so I’m gonna make a special trip when I run out. And probably buy 5 bottles! If you live near a Trader Joe’s….go get some!
Since becoming a challenger and then a coach, I have truly come to realize the value of investing in myself beyond just the physical. I’ve always read my devotions and I have definitely amped up that time with God, but personal development has been a HUGE blessing and game changer for me personally and professionally.
This book is SO amazing! It is all about praying and seeking God’s direction for any “dream” in your life! It can be coaching, opening your own business, running a marathon, doesn’t matter! It’s all about seeking God’s will and direction and not being too afraid to DO IT!!!! If you are working toward a goal and dreaming BIG, I encourage you to GET this book!
So if you live here in Corinth, you probably know about Rowan House, my sister’s store. She sells home decor and it is such a beautiful store! I love to get to help her out during the holidays just so I can look around and ooh and ahh over all the pretty stuff. And sometimes, I buy something…
This candle is wonderful! I am so funny about smells and having them in my home. Very picky would be a better way to describe it. But this candle is heaven! It burns very slowly and is made of only recycled materials. Her store is located at 622 Wick Street.
She’s launching an online store next month at shoprowanhouse.com
Sweets. Oh yes, I love sweets from time to time, but I try to make sure I know what I’m eating. And I definitely eat it in moderation. I find these in the organic section of Kroger. They are comparable to the ones Justin’s makes, but I like these better. They are the perfect blend of sweet, peanut butter and salt. I only usually eat one from the package, because it hits the spot and keeps my sugar intake down.
Don’t deprive yourself if you’re trying to get healthy. Make sure you have a treat at least once a week to keep a good balance!!!
So I switch up my hair products all the time! I don’t really know why, but I am always trying new things! And I LOVE this hair spray from Kenra. It’s called Artformation. It provides the perfect hold, and it has a good bit of SHINE to it. My hair is wild and crazy, and it helps to manage a little… And a little goes a long way!
So there ya go! A few of my favorite things! Enjoy!
