Hi, I’m Rachel… a blogger who hasn’t been blogging!
I love sharing in this space God has given me as much or more than on social media. If you’re reading this, do you have a blog? I’m curious to know! Tell me below!
For now, let me just apologize for neglecting this space and say THANK YOU for taking the time to check out my world here.
I began this blog in 2014 when I started my health and wellness journey, and it is a JOY to share with you what God is doing in my heart, soul and body!
Some quick updates!
- We are in our third year of homeschooling and loving it!
- Homeschooling has brought challenges to growing my wellness business this year, and in 2023 I”m committed to working on my time management with the Lord and stewarding that better.
- I’m HALFWAY through an eight week workout program that I LOVE! I cannot wait to finish strong.
- My clients and I are one week into Wendy Speake’s 40 Day Sugar Fast. If you haven’t done this, you MUST!
- I’m committed to losing the last 10 lbs I have held onto these past two years with clean eating, tracking my food and regular exercise. More on that in the next post.
- I started my own tank company called SWT TEE!
For now, I feel led to encourage you to fight the good fight for your body, no matter how your New Year’s commitments are going. You may just be wondering to yourself today…
Can I do it, Rachel?
Can I stick to these goals I have for myself?
Can I really conquer these strongholds that keep surfacing?
Can I really fight the good fight with so many temptations swirling all around me?
I feel like my job today is to whisper a little belief into you that YES YOU CAN! The plan is to simply be 1% better than you were yesterday. To turn one more stronghold over to Jesus today in prayer.
You’re not going to lose 20 lbs overnight or break all strongholds in a week! But slowly and surely you will.
So today, on Saturday, January 14th, how can you be 1% more committed to your goals that you were yesterday?
- Maybe it’s that you don’t have a treat meal that you know will lead to six treat meals this weekend.
- Maybe it’s that you drink your Shakeology for a snack instead of that Snickers.
- Maybe it’s that you have a cup of tea tonight instead of starting in on that glass of wine.
Whatever you decide, go for it and don’t look back!
Focused on 1% better with you my friend! And please borrow my verse I’m meditating on during my sugar fast:
“I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.”
