Coaching is for ME!
I love Beachbody programs and Shakeology! I am proud to say that. When I first began, I just wanted to lose weight and get back into shape. It was May; I was about to be home with my boys for the summer. That meant I wanted to look better in my shorts and bathing suits, and – more importantly – I needed to have more energy to keep up with my very active boys!!!!
Honestly, I didn’t even use Shakeology at first, because I thought we couldn’t afford it. I tried some other shakes that were a little bit cheaper. But, my goodness, they were NOT good at all!!!! I finally saved some money and purchased the Shakeology in a challenge pack with a new program. I went ahead and signed up as a coach when I did this, because Beachbody waives the $40 coaches fee when you purchase a challenge pack. So, I had a new workout program, 30 days of Shakeology, AND I was getting a 25% discount on anything else I purchased from Beachbody after that! If I chose to continue using Shakeologoy every month, that would save me $30!!! Woohoo!
Melanie, my personal coach, started talking to me about coaching as a business. I will be perfectly honest, I was very unsure if that would be something that would fit into my life. I felt like I had very little time and even less ability to inspire others. Also, I had jumped into other business ventures too quickly, and they fizzled out in a short period of time. I didn’t want to do that again. So, I prayed…a lot! I prayed that God would show me if this was something HE wanted in my life. I went back and forth. I knew that I could probably earn enough to pay for my Shakeology each month, but I wanted this to be about more than what I could gain out of it. Sure the extra income would be wonderful, but I wanted it to really be something I could impact others’ lives through and be passionate about. That was the clincher for me…I really discovered that I was passionate about my new lifestyle!!! I loved it and wanted to share with other! So, I joined my first 60 coach apprentice ship program, and that was it!
I was still very nervous about posting and making it public that I was coaching. Would people judge me? Would they think I was trying to push my lifestyle onto them? What if I wasn’t successful? But the coach apprenticeship program really eased me into it. I had one assignment each day as a coach. I had the support of an entire team of coaches!!!! New and old. It was incredible. I quickly learned that on my team, very few coaches were motivated solely by income. These people were here to help others, just like me and they were so inspiring!!!! There were so many affirmations from God along the way that have just solidified my decision. I am so thankful that God communicates so clearly when we need Him to.
So, what has changed for me since I began coaching? I was reflecting on that very question on my morning drive.
1. Accountability – this has been huge for me. It may seem like I have it all together and that I don’t struggle with getting up to workout some mornings or sticking to my clean eating…but I DO! I need accountability and support just like everyone else. I find that in my business, from my fellow coaches as well as from my challengers. I want to lead by example, and I can only do that by taking care of my body each and every day!
2. Lives Changed – My life is not the only one that has changed. I have been able to help people reach their health goals. One challenger has lost 20 lbs. Another has gotten off of her blood pressure medicine. One got into a pair of old blue jeans – we all know how good that feels. The list goes on. There is no greater reward that impacting someone else’s life for the better. This totally motivates me even when I have a not so good day!
3. New Friends – Without a doubt, I have met some incredible people and made some amazing new friends through this journey. Coaches who are committed to living their lives well and to the best of their ability. I have met sisters in Christ who are motivated by their faith just like me. I have met people who push me out of my comfort zone to become stronger and more confident!
4. Income – I would be lying if I said that the money didn’t matter at all. I have definitely benefited financially from coaching. I am getting braces this month, which my income from coaching will pretty much pay for! There is no way we could have afforded this without Beachbody. And, by the way, my Shakeology is totally paid for!!!
5. Personal Growth – I have written a lot about growing spiritually. I am certain God placed me in this to grow closer to Him as well as to be used by Him! I have had the freedom to create a curicullum for my challengers based on what God’s word says about our health. So excited about this!
In addition to that, part of coaching is spending time each day learning through some form of personal development. Those words have always held a somewhat cheesy element for me. But I feel so different about them now! Through reading and listening to personal development authors, I have gained some valuable tools that I am able to apply in my spiritual, personal and professional life! Time-management, consistency in actions, attention to detail. This is has definitely been a big area of change for me!
So, what now?
This is where I am today. I am so happy and satisfied in this venture. And I would love to help others who might be interested in gaining the things I listed above. Our team offers a wonderful coaching program. You are never alone, and there is constant support. I have learned so much about myself through this, and I am ready to share what I have learned with others. If you are reading this and think you might be interested in joining me as a coach – whether to help others, make a little extra income, or to just pay for your Shakeology, please let me know. You can message me on Facebook or Email me!
Either way, I hope I have inspired someone to get out there and do more today with your life! You only get this one life, so make it count!
xoxo,
